We ask that if you are experiencing symptoms, please stay home. Use this CDC symptom checklist to see if you need to quarantine or get tested.
PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION
Masks and proof of COVID vaccination are required at all performances. Patrons ages 5-11 who recently became eligible for the vaccine, and patrons under the age of 5 who are not yet eligible for the vaccine, are not required to show proof of vaccination. Children, regardless of vaccination status, must be masked and accompanied by a vaccinated adult. At this time, we do not accept proof of a recent negative COVID test in lieu of vaccination. Feel free to email [email protected] with questions.
October 29, 2021 Update: Olney Theatre Center's mask and proof of vaccination requirements will remain in effect through January 2, 2022. We will share any changes to our policies on or after January 3, 2022.
Along with a photo ID, please be prepared to show one of the following proofs of vaccination:
- You may present either your original vaccine card, a legible digital or hard copy
- You may present one of the commonly used vaccine passport apps that verify both your vaccination status and i.d. such as Health Pass, Bindle, VaxYes
- Digital vaccination cards through your home Health Department (check with your state/county’s Health Department if not listed here): Maryland, DC, Virginia
FACE MASKS
In accordance with Montgomery County regulations, all patrons are required to wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status.

All employees who interact with our patrons (Box Office, House Managers, Concessions) are required to wear masks and follow a regular routine of handwashing.
PAPERLESS PROGRAMS
There will be no printed programs. All program information will be shared digitally. You will be emailed a link and there will be signage with QR codes available to access a program. Our most current paperless program can always be found at olneytheatre.org/e-program. And an archive of past programs can be found here.
CONCESSIONS
(Updated Dec. 20, 2021) To ensure masks are worn at all times in indoor spaces, we are temporarily suspending the sale of our normal concessions menu. Bottled water will be available for purchase, but must be consumed outdoors.
AIR FILTRATION
All HVAC systems utilize MERV-13 filters which are regularly monitored by Potomac Mechanical Contractors. HVAC systems in performance spaces will run continuously at least two hours prior to being occupied, while occupied, and two hours after being vacated to continue circulation and filtration of air.
