Rising American playwright Meg Miroshnik turns her sharply comic eye on one of the funniest French comedies of the 18th century. What happens to poor Harlequin when his fiancée is kidnapped by an all-powerful Prince who wants sweet, innocent Silvia for his bride? But even Princes have to follow certain rules and as his underlings contrive to both keep him in-line and serve his desires, they risk transgressing the rules of love, courtship and comedy itself. Prepare for disguises, uncontrollable appetites, palace intrigues and improbable romance in this anachronistic comic romp that fuses the most hilarious facets of the 18th and 21st Centuries. Directed by Artistic Associate Eleanor Holdridge (I and You, Hay Fever).
