Half the fun of a great Olney Theatre Center production is in the costumes. After Queen Elizabeth I dispatched her rival Mary Queen of Scots, she was dressed to rule all of England. As the Emcee welcomed you to the Cabaret, his red fur collar and exaggerated jodhpurs conveyed as much about his character as each gesture of his cigarette holder.
We can bring award-winning designers to Olney because they know our artisans will bring their visions to life with precision and skill.
We’re proud of our production team and want you to meet Olney Theatre Center veteran, Seth Gilbert, the costume design supervisor. Seth celebrated his 10th anniversary with OTC this past Sunday. We don’t have any costumes for him to create right now, so Seth is putting his talents to work for our community. In this video, he’ll take you behind the scenes and tell you all about it.
Even amidst the current challenges, we’re taking time to reflect on our successes and look forward. We hope you are too. That’s what the Olney Onward! Fund is all about. If you are in a position to do so, your support keeps our focus on the future when audiences, actors, and artists can reunite at the theatre.
To the many of you who have already made a gift, thank you!
